Modern Day Special Delivery
Have
you noticed how many blogs there are? Facebook and Twitter feeds are overrun with them. And every day, there are more.
Cooking,
crafting, health, gardening, political—tons of blogs. It seems the best way to
teach, sell, or promote anything is by blogging about it. Like special delivery to the masses via the internet.
Writers are encouraged to blog as well. Why?
- Writing quality improves with consistency
- Teaches how to meet deadlines
- Helps develop your writing voice or message
- Increases opportunity to develop relationships with your readers.
The
general recommendation is to blog twice a week. Some folks write long blogs (1500
or more words) and some shorter. Of course, some topics require more words than
others.
I value your time and have committed to blog once a week and to write
concisely. After all, few of us have time to sit and read all the interesting posts
being released.
So
I've decided to share the goals of my blog with you.
- To give us a chance to know each other better. I truly am interested in your journey. We can learn and grow when we share our joys and struggles
- To share epiphanies. I love these insightful bombshells of awareness and growth. Maybe they can make you smile on a tough day or spark wonder in your life.
- To keep you informed on the progress of my first book and the others that are begging to be put to keyboard
- To be authentic in the revealing of my voyage as a thriving survivor of abuse (see My story page) and the ever-blooming, redemptive healing as one embraced by Christ.
But here's my fear.
No one reads
these posts because my message doesn't resonate. I receive few comments so I'm
not sure if my posts float out there in cyberspace- like pollen in the wind.
So may I ask a favor?
- Please give me feedback. Good or bad. How can we enlighten our paths together? I want to improve my blog so your input is critically important. If you don't want to post a comment here, then message me on Facebook or Twitter
- Please sign up to receive my post by email. (Under my picture on the right.) No spam. No sharing of your email address. Just my post once a week
- Tell me about your life journey, your insightful bombshells and struggles by commenting on post. Let's be triumphant overcomers together
- Let me know how I can pray for you in a comment or message me. And pray for me. Who better to share our passionate pleas with than our Creator.
Thank you for sharing your valuable time with me. I pray that the 467 words you just read will
be uplifting and encouraging to you and bring glory to the Word of Life.

Tammy, I feel your pain! There are so many established bloggers, how can the "newbies" (like us) establish a follow? You're definitely on the right track! You have an attractive website, inspirational blogs, and you've got perseverance. Wishing you blessings on the journey, my friend. Katherine
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your comment. I know you truly understand our dilemma. And I believe you're on the right track too. We must remember how James pushes perseverance and do it!! Thanks, friend.
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with ya! My next blog is about the whole "audience" dilemma I've had and how little I know about those people out there reading. You just never know with the internet who will be reading your stuff. We may never know. Love your goals though. Thank you for being open and caring. You're a blessing!
ReplyDeleteI love reading your blog. During one of my crazy, busy days, I'll see your blog and take the time to read it because I know your blog will ground my day. Reading your journey through life and hearing your inspirational thoughts makes my day better. My life has bumps and curves and hearing how your faith works through each of your bumps and curves is inspirational to me, so keep writing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the two great comments! Maybe my words are not pollen in the wind. I can't express my gratitude to know God uses my words to encourage others. That's my hearts desire to share our journeys and struggles. God bless you both.
